I recently wrote about rethinking what a community tool is.
Then Carrie Melissa Jones wrote about picking a Community Tech Stack.
We also have a discussion on community tech stacks that we use.
Tools and technology come and go, but perhaps categorizing the types of tools we use is an approach that has more longevity. Considering the types of tools we use can also help us identify how we overlap with other parts of the business.
e.g. we may use a CRM, but sales, customers success and marketing may also use the same CRM.
Carrie touches on front-end and back-end tools, which is a great way to think about them.
For Rosieland I have:

How would you categorize the tools you use to build community?
