How can I use Community Building in my day job?

Greetings :wave:t5:.

I’m Vernon and I’m not a community builder (or at least, not officially or professionally!). Not yet anyway!

I have this nagging feeling that the skills, perspective and focus it takes to build great communities would be really useful in my day job (which is in the software development and quality industry).

What do you think? I’m struggling to know where to start and how to experiment - any ideas?

Are you talking about the teammates around you, or people external to the company?

I think the answers or suggestions might be different based on this.
