Also, does your brand community consist primarily/only of customers? Or are there other members who are just there because they believe in the vision of the company & the values the community provides?

I’m building one at https://thinkdivergent.com/. It started with members who are just there because of the vision and over time, we co-created products and services to support the needs of the community and are starting to make them available to others out side of the community.
Primarily is freelancers, with a mix of some customers/businesses (those who hire freelancers). Right now you have to have signed up through Upwork to get into the Community (which is free) but it’s also not simple or quick compared to a normal community login experience, so I do have plans for the team to improve that as time goes on.
